As expected, today the government had its Manifesto endorsed by parliament thanks to the outright majority enjoyed by Robert Fico’s Smer-SD party.
With 145 of the 150 parliament in attendance, 82 MPs voted gave a yea to the Manifesto (Smer-SD has 83 seats), while the five opposition parties either voted against or abstained from voting.
This now means Fico’s cabinet can start enacting its laws and move ahead with its manifesto priorities.
