Data released by the Statistical Office SR on Tuesday show how Slovakia’s industry enjoyed recovery in January, with a strong upswing in car production, which posted 17.1% percent growth year-on-year.
All the car plants in Slovakia (South Korean Kia, France’s Peugeot Citroen and Germany’s Volkswagen, generated a combined 50.9% year-on-year growth in production output.
Electronics factories, chiefly Samsung and Foxconn, stagnated with a 0.8% growth in January after a 26.8% hike in December.
