Head of the Anti-corruption Office, Tibor Gaspa, has confirmed that the Anti-corruption Office and the Special Prosecutor’s Office have extended their prosecution over the infamous notice-board tender.
Initially the case of the prosecution concerned just one criminal act – illegal financial practices, but now it also includes three more crimes, including abuse of authority. The public officials being investigated include former construction and regional development ministers Marian Janusek and Igor Stefanov (both SNS nominees).
So far nobody specific has been charged with any crime surrounding the tender, because the prosecutor says this is only possible following certain investigation procedures.
