It is that time of the year again when museums and galleries all over Slovakia leave their doors open till midnight as this Saturday 19 May is the seventh year of the event Night at the Museum.
Visitors will have the chance to visit parts of museums and galleries that are normally closed to the public, like the vaults, with various accompanying activities and explanations, giving a deeper insight into the work that goes on in Slovak museums and galleries. The already low admission fees have also been cut for the event, so in Bratislava, for instance, you pay just EUR 1.5 one time and can enter over 50 museums and galleries all over the city.
Some of the premises will be putting on concerts, drama pieces, dance performances or organising creative workshops. Don’t be too surprised if the occasional ghost pops up, either.
A good evening is guaranteed for all the family as the museums come to life, but not quite like in the film.
